Expert: Hackers to target Russian software more often in 2023

MOSCOW, Jan 9 (PRIME) -- Hackers will try to attack Russian software more often in 2023, IT company Group T1 CEO Igor Kalganov told PRIME on December 31.

“In the coming years, the activity of perpetrators will only rise. In 2023, attacks on the software programs that replaced imported ones and cloud infrastructure of companies will expand broadly,” Kalganov said.

Perpetrators will improve social engineering practices against the people thanks to data leaks, he added.

“The number of attacks via banking Trojan viruses will also grow because official applications of Russian banks were deleted from ‘stores’, and users will continue uploading unverified programs from other sources,” Kalganov said.
